Brewdog launches Parma Violet beer

British craft brewer Brewdog has teamed up with the maker of Parma Violets sweets to produce a new beer.

Its Parma Violets Hazy New England IPA is inspired by the nostalgic purple sweet and was created in collaboration with confectionary brand Swizzels.

The beer's malt profile includes wheat and oats alongside Citra and Simcoe hops, which Brewdog says lend a tropical and citrus character that complements the perfumed notes of Parma Violets.

The Parma Violets NEIPA (5.5% ABV) is available in Tesco from September and will be available from the Brewdog webstore on 1 December.
