UK drinks producer Halewood Artisanal Spirits has launched a Halloween-themed digitial game for its rum brand Dead Man's Fingers.
The rum brand has been paired with a 'fruit machine' app-based experience in a bid to drive engagement and sales during the Halloween period.
Created in partnership with digital experiences studio Appetite Creative, the new game is accessed via a QR code found on wooden cocktail stirrers served with Dead Man's Fingers rums. Users are offered instant prizes including branded caps, t-shirtsm, beach towels and lanyards.
The game will be activated in more than 700 pubs in the UK and will be live throughout October.
Graeme Sharp from Dead Man's Fingers said the brand was hoping to capitalise on an increasing number of consumers viewing Halloween as "more than just a one-day event".
"Today, the focus of the brand continues to be around challenging convention and having fun with new and exciting flavour combinations, and our new connected experience does just that with this spooky Fruit-Fright experience," he said.
The Dead Man’s Fingers range now includes a host of popular flavoured variants, including Coconut, Pineapple, Mango, Hazelnut and Passionfruit.
