The Balvenie has partnered with distinguished chef Emily Roux to create a one-off immersive whisky and dining experience to celebrate the launch of its newest expression, The Balvenie 25 Years Old.
Taking place on 8 October at department store Harvey Nichols, in London's Knightsbridge, the event has been designed to champion both the craft and the people that help to define the Speyside single malt brand.
The immersive dining experience will comprise a six-course menu, which has been curated by Roux to bring out and complement the complex flavours of The Balvenie 25 Years Old. Featuring dishes such as Scottish langoustines, roast venison saddle and a whole roast fig, the menu will be served by Roux herself and will be accompanied by specially designed Balvenie cocktails.
As well as enjoying the journey of The Balvenie brand and its whisky at the dinner table, guests will be able to enjoy an interactive brand experience in the venue itself.
The Balvenie 25 Years Old is the latest release in the brand's Rare Marriage collection, which showcases the flavours that can be achieved through combinations of rare casks. Tasting notes supplied by The Balvenie say the new expression has aromas of autumn fruits, runny honey and crystallised ginger, a palate with vanilla oak, toasted marshmallow and cinnamon-infused apple tart, and a long-lasting, sweet finish.
Tickets for the event can be purchased for £45 from https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/176164030357. Each ticket will be redeemable against £45 off a purchase of The Balvenie Twenty-Five in store or online at Harvey Nichols.
