Woodford Reserve celebrates 25 years

American whiskey distiller Woodford Reserve is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a week of public events.

To mark the occasion, the company's master distiller Chris Morris and assistant master distiller Elizabeth McCall have laid down a new whiskey, and they will be taking part in events throughout October including a public bottle signing.

Woodford Reserve fans will also be able to experience special tastings and bespoke cocktails and make unique purchases at the distillery gift shop.

Of the anniversary, Morris said: "We are planning for the future as we see no signs that the Bourbon boom is slowing down. More and more consumers worldwide are discovering one of the greatest exports from Kentucky, and they are especially enjoying Woodford Reserve."

Earlier in 2021 Woodford Reserve announced it would be doubling capacity at its site in Versailles, Kentucky, investing in new stills and fermenters, additional space for grain and barrel unloading, and an employee training centre.

The distillery, a National Historic Landmark, sits on Kentucky's oldest distilling site. It was renovated by Woodford Reserve owner Brown-Forman in the 1990s and opened to the public for tours in 1996.
