Camden Town Brewery launches Christmas ad campaign

Camden Town Brewery is pledging to "save Christmas" with its first-ever festive ad campaign.

The brand's 'Giftnosis' world campaign features hypnotic graphics designed to 'giftnotise' the nation's worst gift givers into thinking of fresh ideas this festive season - such as trading up a pack of socks for a pack of Camden Hells Lager.

For the first time, the Camden ATL will be making its way into on- and off-trade venues after the campaign launches on Monday, 15 November.

The campaign has been created by advertising agency Wieden+Kennedy, in collaboration with director James Papper and illustrator Vivienne Shao. It is the second TV campaign launched by Camden Town this year, following its Hells Lager 'Recall' in May.

Zoe Wulfsohn-Dunkley, head of brand marketing at Camden Town Brewery, said: "2021 has been a landmark year for us at the Camden team as it's been the first year we've launched not one, but two nationwide ATL campaigns. And in another brand first, our latest TV ad marks our first-ever festive campaign to hit beer lovers' screens.

"We can all relate to receiving those not-so-great Christmas gifts from a distant aunt of random work colleague, and although we love the generosity that comes with the festive season, we want to 'giftnotise' people into gifting fresh Camden Hells Lager instead."

Camden's 'Giftnosis' ad launches on 15 November and will be running for five weeks in the run-up to Christmas.
