South Comfort unveils Mardi Gras bottle design

Southern Comfort has launched a limited-edition bottle design to celebrate Mardi Gras.

The celebration of Mardi Gras - "the first party of the year" - originated in New Orleans, which is also the birthplace of Southern Comfort.

The new commemorative bottle has been designed by East London artist Jade Pearl in collaboration with New Orleans-based artist BMIKE. 

Pearl has used her signature style to bring together the welcoming spirit of Southern Comfort's home city, while remaining true to her UK roots. She said that the bottle design "encapsulates the vibrant and optimistic atmosphere of Mardi Gras".

The bottle design also contains a QR code, which gives drinkers access to a library of Southern Comfort cocktails recipes and exclusive chances to win prizes.

The limited-edition bottle is now available in grocery stores nationwide in the UK.
