Four Roses Small Batch Select Bourbon comes to UK

American whiskey maker Four Roses has announced the UK launch of the final expression in its core range: Four Roses Small Batch Select.

Two years after the Bourbon's domestic launch, a limited run of 3,000 bottles will be coming to the UK - the only market outside the US in which it has been released.

Coming 15 years after Four Roses' last line extention, Small Batch Select is the first non-chill-filtered Bourbon to be added to the distillery's permanent line-up (previously, only limited editions were non-chill filtered).

With a history stretching back more than 130 years, Four Roses distillery combines two mash bills with five proprietary yeast strains to produce 10 distinct Bourbon recipes. Six of these, all aged for six to seven years, were blended by master distiller Brent Elliott to create the Small Batch Select.

Elliott said: "[Small Batch Select] showcases Bourbon recipes and flavours that aren't as forward-facing in the rest of our line-up. It is an extension of what we do well at Four Roses - balancing candied fruit with warmth and spice - and enjoyable to both connoisseurs and casual drinkers alike."

Four Roses Small Batch Select Bourbon (52% ABV) will be distributed in the UK by Spirit Cartel and will be available at retailers including Harvey Nichols, Gerry's of Soho, Master of Malt and Spirits Kiosk (RRP £58).
