easyJet lists new Edinburgh Gin expression on flights

European airline easyJet has added Edinburgh Gin's latest release, Orange & Basil, to its in-flight range for the 2022 spring/summer season.

It is Edinburgh Gin owner Ian Macleod Distillers' first listing with easyJet, and will be exclusive to the budget airline within the global travel retail channel for seven months.

Passengers can buy one-litre bottles from easyJet's on-board Duty Free shop, and also purchase 50ml bottles from the in-flight bar.

Michelle Philpot, easyJet's in-flight retail manager, said: "We are delighted to work with Ian Macleod Distillers to launch the amazing Edinburgh Gin Orange & Basil as an airline exclusive to our range - a natural fit with easyJet.

"This wonderful new flavour is the perfect addition to our on-board range and I'm sure will be a success during the summer."

Featuring sweet orange peel and fresh basil leaf, Edinburgh Gin Orange & Basil launched in the UK domestic market in the on- and off-trade in April.

Ian Macleod Distillers' global travel retail director, William Ovens, said: "This new partnership is a very important development in our in-flight business and allows us to share our flavour, craft and creativity with the estimated 30 million customers forecast to travel from the UK with easyJet this year.

"Edinburgh Gin effectively started the flavoured gin movement with the creation of our Raspberry Gin liqueur in 2010 and we have continued to innovate since then. This listing is a great opportunity to showcase Edinburgh Gin and drive trial of this new, unique and exciting, full-strength flavoured gin."
