Jeremy Shepherd assumes leadership role at Brown-Forman

Jeremy Shepherd has been appointed new senior vice president and president for the United States and Canada at Brown-Forman, assuming leadership of the commercial organisation.

Shepherd will lead Brown-Forman’s largest and most valuable market, with a significant amount of the company’s growth dependent on its premium tequila and whiskey brands according to the organisation themselves. Among their most recognisable brands is Jack Daniel’s, with over 170 countries worldwide selling from their portfolio.

On assuming his new leadership role, Shepherd said: “The opportunity to build from Brown-Forman’s incredible legacy and grow our world-class portfolio in our largest market is a dream come true. I look forward to expanding our diverse culture and delivering results that show why there’s nothing better in the market than Brown-Forman.”

The 17-year veteran has worked his way up Brown-Forman during his time, beginning as commercial manager for Canada. Most recently serving as vice president, managing director, for the United Kingdom and Ireland. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Shepherd built and launched Brown-Forman’s owned-distribution organisation.

Previous companies that Shepherd has worked for include Coca-Cola Enterprises and Bacardi Canada.

John Hayes previously held the position for almost four years, before retiring this month after 35 years with the company.
