Dead Man's Fingers launches first Tequila

Dead Man’s Fingers has announced the launch of their first ever Tequila – Dead Man’s Fingers Tequila Reposado – which has been aged in bourbon barrels.

The new release is available across the UK in Tesco stores at an RRP of £22. The producer has described the drink as having notes of vanilla and honey on the palate, said to be ideal for pouring over ice or mixing into a cocktail.

The trademark bright and bold colours of The Dead Man’s Fingers remain branching out into a new spirit, with the bottle design a vibrant light blue and yellow colours.

Dead Man’s Fingers have offered two recommended cocktails – the Dead Man’s Margarita and the Dead Man’s Sunrise.

The Dead Man’s Margarita involves mixing the Reposado with 20ml of agave syrup and 25ml of lime juice:

Prepare the glass using a lime wedge to cover the rim in lime juice. Tip the glass over onto a plate of salt and chilli flakes twisting it to cover the rim. Shake all ingredients over cubed ice vigorously before straining the cocktail into the glass and garnishing with a lime wedge.

The Dead Man’s Sunrise, meanwhile, combines the Tequila with 25ml of Triple Sec liqeuer, 100ml of orange juice 20ml of grenadine, topped with a garnish of orange slices and cherries:

Add all ingredients (except grenadine) to a skull or highball glass and stir. Float grenadine on top using the back of a spoon before garnishing with an orange slice and cherries on a skewer.

Dead Man’s Fingers has been best known for its rum since its inception in Cornwall in 2015. The brand is said to have a focus on experimentation and its decision to move into the Tequila category is no doubt further proof of this.
