Wade Ceramics has won the Breakthrough Collaboration Award winner at the Diageo Global Brand Supply Awards 2022.
The award comes on the heels of their collaboration on the Johnnie Walker Black Label Ink Edition, which used ink made from air pollution.
Johnnie Walker global brand director Julie Bramham said: “Johnnie Walker is built on a legacy of making positive, progressive choices and to bring this collection to life we asked artists to shine a light on what makes their city special and inspires people to come together to ‘keep walking. We are really thrilled by the unique depictions that have come out of this brief and combined with the Air-Ink partnership it demonstrates the power of combining art and innovation, making this limited edition range a true collectible.”
Only 2,500 bottles per city have been made available, with the six cities each represented by individual bottles. They include: Bangkok; Istanbul; Madrid; Mexico City; New Delhi; Warsaw.
Based in Stoke-on-Trent, Wade Ceramics is a well-known brand across the world for their ceramics. They offer a bespoke service with a minimum order quantity of 1,000.
Paul Farmer, managing director, added: “We’re thrilled to continue working with Diageo on such exciting projects, and this in particular was such a wonderful one to be involved in. Sustainability is such an imperative part of our work, and being able to explore this way of printing has been a real step forward. Winning this award means so much to the team, and we can’t wait for what’s to come.”
