The Craft Irish Whiskey Co. has launched an exclusive Irish Coffee, made in collaboration with chef Adam Handling ahead the release of its latest single malt, The Donn.
To celebrate St Patrick’s Day, guests will have the opportunity to order an Irish Coffee, made to Handling’s recipe using The Donn. The coffee will appear on menus in all restaurants of the Adam Handling Group for one-day only, including Frog and Eve Bar in Covent Garden, The Loch & The Tyne in Old Windsor and Ugly Butterfly in St. Ives.
The recipe is featured in Handling’s recently released cocktail book Perfect, Three Cherries.
The coming-soon single malt Irish whiskey, The Donn, is a triple distilled spirit which has spent just under seven years in four different styles of cask. These include bourbon barrels, virgin Hungarian Oak barrels and small 68L Pedro Ximénez barrels.
The producer has described it as having notes of dark chocolate and caramel on the palate.
The company’s first release, The Devil’s Keep, was judged World’s Best Irish Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards 2022, while its second release, an ultra-rare single malt, sold for £2,000,000 at auction.
For those wishing to experience The Donn and the St Patrick’s Day Irish coffee for one-day only, guests are advised to book to secure a table.
