Ian Macleod Distillers unveiling latest expressions at TFWA Exhibition

Ian Macleod Distillers is set to reveal three new whiskies and a new Edinburgh gin at TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition, as the brand looks to strengthen its travel retail business further.

Led by global travel retail director William Ovens, the Ian Macleod team includes Hong Kong-based Asia Pacific travel retail regional director Kelvin Ng, who joined the business 18 months ago.

The brand is bringing a range of its portfolio to the exhibition and will showcase its super premium single malt whiskies, as well as updating customers on the new Rosebank and Edinburgh gin distilleries.

The three new whisky expressions set to be revealed include The Rosebank Vintage Series Second Edition, bottled at 47.8% ABV at 32 years old, with only 350 bottles released.

Commenting on the exhibition, Ovens said: “Asia Pacific is now one of the most important regions for our Global Travel Retail business. Our presence is growing strongly, with new customers, new listings and significantly increased brand visibility. We offer customers in the region a winning combination - a family business culture with an extensive and highly regarded brand portfolio; we are very optimistic about the future in the post Covid era.”

Alongside the whiskies, the new Edinburgh gin will be introduced, a new full strength flavoured expression. Handcrafted using traditional gin botanicals, Edinburgh Gin Orange & Basil is made with orange peel and fresh basil leaf.

Ng added: “It is an exciting time for Ian Macleod Distillers. We have two new distilleries opening within 12 months and are investing to create new and distinctive high-quality whiskies and gins to satisfy growing global demand. We look forward to the exhibition and to reconnecting with established customers, cementing new relationships and introducing our portfolio, including exciting launches, to potential new partners.”
