Duncan Taylor opens luxury experience in Vietnam

Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky have announced their first luxury whisky experience in the exclusive District 1 area of Ho-Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Named ‘Only the Best,’ the new experience invites guests to sample whiskies from the company’s award-winning portfolio. 

Spread across five floors, the gold building will feature a mezzanine bar with fusion inspired cuisine, private VIP tasting rooms and retail boutique.

The company has been working with the experienced team in Vietnam to showcase its portfolio, which includes Black Bull 12 and Kyloe. Vietnamese chef Tran Van Fan has crafted a menu in the restaurant, pairing the various whiskies from the portfolio.

Guests will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a new digital age using self-serve cask styled dispensers from Duncan Taylor’s Black Bull blends. The dispensing barrels allow guests to consume the whisky of their choice on demand from the company’s proprietary casks with the use of a pre-paid cask.

Duncan Taylor chairman Euan Shand commented: “There is a shift in drinking habits in south-east Asia, so we were keen to create a versatile and authentic customer experience that is more expressive, moves with the times and promotes Scottish hospitality at its very best.  This is a new foray into the hospitality world for our company and opening this whisky experience was the perfect way to engage with the community and culture of south-east Asia, who are keen to immerse themselves and discover more about the whisky world.”

The announcement comes on the heels of the company sponsoring the Black Bull Challenge Tour golf event with Sir Nick Faldo in Bangalore.
