Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits appoints new chief digital officer

US-based Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, one of the largest spirits distributors in the country – has announced the appointment of Alan Wizemann as the company’s new chief digital officer (CDO). The appointment will come in to effective from 15 August.

Wizemann comes to the role with decades of experience in digital product development, omni-channel experiences, technology and entrepreneurship. He previously held roles at Target Corporation, launching key digital initiatives across Target.com and Target Mobile, as well as leadership roles at Lululemon, Athletica Inc., Goop, WebMD, Dollar Shave Club and most recently Munchkin Inc.

In his new role, Wizemann will report to chief growth officer David Chaplin and take responsibility for the company’s digital initiatives, including its leading B2B eCommerce Proof platform. He will also focus his efforts on additional digital projects to further strengthen the company’s capabilities beyond commercial application, leading the delivery of differentiating digital and AI capabilities.
