The 2023 World Cider Awards winners have been announced, with seven different winners announced across seven different categories.
The awards aim to celebrate the best cider’s from around the world, with an expert panel of judges determining who is worthy of the title of World’s Best.
The deadline closed in June for entries, and since then an extensive judging process has been conducted over a number of rounds.
In the opening round, each cider is tasted in its relevant style to identify and select the medal winners in each country. The judging concludes with the panel tasting the gold winners across each category, to determine the World’s Best.
With specialist tasting panels, consisting of international cider experts, the following countries have been judged in country:
· USA
· Brazil
· Canada
· Chile
· Germany
· Japan
The inaugural World Cider Awards took place in 2017, and has continued to grow year by year in its number of entries and global interest.
This year’s winners include Italy’s Sidro Del Bosco as World’s Best Sparking Cider and China’s Hard Candy, Ginger as World’s Best Flavoured Cider.
