Ukiyo Spirits to release Tokyo Dry Gin

Drinksology Kirker Greer (DKG) brand Ukiyo Spirits is launching new product Tokyo Dry Gin. The new expression is a small-batch classic dry gin inspired by the flavours and aromas of Japan.

Created in Chiba, east of Tokyo, and traditionally distilled in copper pot stills, Tokyo Dry Gin’s ingredients include locally-grown rice and native Japanese botanicals such as yuzu peel and sansho pepper.

Describing the gin, Ali Pickering, chief marketing officer at DKG says: “These carefully-chosen ingredients combine to express the diverse terroir and tastes of Japan – resulting in an elegant and delicately aromatic classic dry gin offering warm and well-balanced citrus and spice notes, and a smooth finish.”

The launch of a classic dry gin adds to Ukiyo Spirits’ gin portfolio, which currently includes Blossom Gin and Yuzu Gin.

Ukiyo Tokyo Dry Gin will be available to on- and off-trade retailers across the UK, Australia and the Netherlands from February.
