Speyburn will join the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival 2024 (1 – 6 May). The distillery opened its doors to the public for the first time for the 2023 festival to mark its 125th anniversary.
Speyburn’s festival offering will include a distillery tour and masterclass with distillery manager Euan Henderson or assistant distillery manager David Rogerson, in which visitors will discover the history of Speyburn and gain insight into its whisky-making process. A guided tasting will also be held.
The distillery is also debuting ‘Speyburn After Hours’ on Saturday 4 May, an exclusive event for the 2024 festival. The event will feature interactive experiences, food and drink, live entertainment and an opportunity have a dram in Scotland’s only listed intact drum maltings.
Euan Henderson, distillery manager at Speyburn, comments: “The Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival is iconic and a true mainstay in any whisky-lovers’ diary. Last year’s Festival was a huge success for us at Speyburn. We opened our doors to visitors for the first time to mark our 125th anniversary and were amazed by the level of demand…
“This year we are once again pulling out all the stops to share Speyburn’s rich story with whisky fans from across the globe and look forward to welcoming visitors through our doors as part of the Festival.”
Tickets for Speyburn’s festival tours can be previewed on Thursday 25 January 2024, and will be available to purchase from 12 noon on Wednesday 31 January via Spirit of Speyside. Tickets are priced between £20 and £100, with multiple tours taking place each day of the festival. The Speyburn After Hours event will be held on Saturday 4 May from 7pm-11pm. Behind-the-scenes tours are also available throughout the year.
