David Wilson steps down from William Grant & Sons

After a 30-year career working in the spirits industry, David Wilson is stepping down from his position as managing director global travel retail.

The departure will not be immediate but instead over a few months, as Wilson transitions to focusing on more time and energy on his next chapter. These include both personal challenges and new business ventures.

Wilson has been with William Grant & Sons since the summer of 2021, and previously spent over a decade with Morrison Bowmore Distillers.

Commenting on his decision to depart: "It has been a privilege to work with amazing people and brands over the last four decades, and I know I am leaving a great team and business with momentum at William Grant & Sons. 

"I am looking forward to the next chapter and I will of course remain close and active in the spirits business in a number of ways. I leave with my best wishes and thanks to William Grant & Sons and for their continued success."
