World Vodka Awards 2024 winners revealed

The biggest and best names in the vodka industry have been awarded the title of World’s Best in the World Vodka Awards.

The competition, which judges the very best products in the world of vodka, with more than 20 countries this year entering several categories in both the Taste and Design awards.

The goal of the awards is to celebrate the best vodka from around the world, with an expert panel of judges determining which products are worth of the title of World’s Best. This year’s winners include Australia’s Sunshine & Sons for World’s Best Botanical Vodka and China’s Ling-Lie for Best Bottle Design.

The country winners were unveiled on 19 January, following the announcement of the World Gin Awards 2024 country winners on 18 January. 

The first round involved each vodka being tasted and inspected by the panel, allowing them to decide the medal winners for each country. The awards were then concluded with the panel trying the gold medal winners of each category and determining the much-anticipated World’s Best Vodkas.

The Taste category includes:

·  Best Botanical

·  Best Flavoured

·  Best Neutral 

·  Best Varietal 

The Design category includes:

·  Best Bottle

·  Best Label

·  Best New Launch 

·  Best Range 

Veronika Karlova, chair of judges for the World Vodka Awards, said:  “Today’s approach to vodka production has taken a new turn. Forget the traditional perception of vodka as tasteless and boring – it’s anything but plain and flavourless. Producers really pay attention to ingredients and focus on how to retain the character of raw material in vodka. 

“All World Vodka Awards winners this year impressed judges by their quality and taste. Year on year we see an increase in World Vodka Awards entries for varietal, botanical, and flavoured categories, which confirms that the future of vodka is leaning towards styles with a lot of character and flavour.”
