Scapegrace announces distribution deal with Waitrose

New Zealand company Scapegrace Distilling has announced its new partnership with Waitrose, in an expansion of the brand’s UK presence.

The deal will see Scapegrace products stocked in Waitrose supermarkets nationwide in the UK. Among those will be Scapegrace Black Gin, Scapegrace Vodka, and Scapegrace Dimension VIII, a single malt whisky. Scapegrace Gold Gin will be sold through Waitrose Cellar, the chain’s online drinks shop.

Scapegrace co-founder Daniel McLaughlin said: “We’re extremely excited about this partnership which is taking the best of New Zealand distilling to consumers across the UK… Waitrose is known for quality products and is the perfect platform for us to showcase our distinct portfolio of spirits to a discerning audience of UK consumers."

John Vine, spirits buyer for Waitrose & Partners, added: “With their commitment to quality and innovation, Scapegrace aligns with our dedication to providing exceptional products for our customers and we're looking forward to a great partnership."

At home in New Zealand, Scapegrace is currently on the second stage of its NZ$30 million distillery project, which, when complete, is set to be the country’s largest distillery.

Scapegrace is available in Waitrose stores and via Waitrose Cellar.
