Stockport Gin opens gin school experience

Stockport Gin has launched a gin school at its distillery in Stockport town centre. The gin school will give guests hand-on experience with gin making. The school has been created with the help of funding from the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund.

Visitors to the gin school will be welcomed with a Gin and Tonic before creating their own bespoke bottle of gin. Led by an expert distiller, guests will access botanicals with which their gin can be personalised.

Paul Sharrocks, co-founder of Stockport Gin, said: “We are incredibly excited to introduce the gin school experience to gin enthusiasts and curious minds alike.

“Our aim is to offer an immersive experience where guests can delve into the intricacies of gin production while crafting a unique spirit that reflects their individual tastes and preferences.”

For Stockport Gin, the gin school represented an opportunity to further its community engagement, and to give locals and tourists alike an opportunity to learn and be creative.

Co-founder Cheryl Sharrocks added: “We wanted to create an experience that not only showcases our passion for gin but also allows our guests to actively participate in the craft. It's a fantastic opportunity to learn about the rich history and techniques behind gin-making, all while having a great time.”
