Six rums arriving new to the UK market

A range of rums are arriving for the first time to the UK market via premium spirits distributor Speciality Brands. The company is bringing four rums from Transcontinental Rum Line and two from Hampden Estate to the UK.

Hampden Estate, based in the Trelawny Parish, Jamaica, has been distilling rum since 1753. The brand uses heavy pot stills and unique methods for its “funky and fruity” signature flavour.

The two rums joining Speciality Brands from Hampden Estate are Hampden Pagos, a rum aged exclusively sherry casks, and Hampden Estate Great House Distillery Edition 2023, the fifth iteration in the distillery’s ‘Great House’ series.

Transcontinental Rum Line is the rum brand from La Maison du Whisky. The brand’s releases use rums from across the world to showcase the diversity of rum production.

The rums that Speciality Brands are bringing to the UK from Transcontinental Rum Line are Australia 2014, Panama 2015, Jamaica 2016, and French West Indies VO.
