Monkey Shoulder reveals updated bottle

Blended whisky brand Monkey Shoulder has revealed a new look and feel in its first major bottle update since it debuted in 2005.

The updated bottle design features a glass reduction of up to 25 per cent and an elongated bottle neck, for a lighter, easier pour. Also updated is the label, which is now split for a “premium” look, with an enlarged brand logo.

Billed as “whisky made for mixing”, Monkey Shoulder is blended from Speyside single malt whiskies. The new look, which will be rolled out from mid-2024, will apply to both Monkey Shoulder’s Original Malt Whisky and Smokey Monkey expressions

Ifan Jenkins, global brand director, said: “Just like our cocktails, we wanted to mix things up when it came to our look. The eye-catching, new-look bottle has been designed not only to improve the cocktail-making experience with its glass reduction, but also stand out from the crowd (just like the liquid inside).

“It’s with this bold new look that we’re looking forward to shaking up the drinks cabinets of Monkey Shoulder fans around the world, as well as grabbing the attention of those starting to explore the world of whisky for the first time.”
