Rampur Distillery, the Indian distiller know for its single malt whisky, has announced its latest rum: the Kohinoor Reserve Indian Dark Rum. The rum is expected to roll out to the USA, UK, EU, Asia, and global travel retail over the next months. 

 

The Kohinoor rum is crafted in small batches and matured in American oak casks which previous held single malt whisky. The rum is then finished in Cognac XO and vermouth casks. 

 

Rampur made the announcement at the International Association of Airport and Duty Free Stores (IAADFS) Summit of the Americas earlier this week. 

 

Sanjeev Banga, president of international business at Radico Khaitan, Rampur’s parent company, said: “We are thrilled to announce the grand unveiling of the Kohinoor Reserve Indian Dark Rum, a true jewel in the crown of the spirits world, at the IAADFS Summit. The rum’s bottle takes inspiration from the Kohinoor Diamond itself, with a faceted diamond shape.
