Campari Group expands plant, doubling Aperol production capacity
Campari Group has announced the expansion of its Novi Ligure plant in Italy. The extension has seen an investment of €75 million from the company.
Under the expansion, a new Aperol bottling line has been added to the plant. Aperol is Campari Group’s leading brand for sales globally.
Matteo Fantacchiotti, chief executive officer of Campari Group, said: “We are proud to inaugurate the new bottling line dedicated to Aperol, which will allow us to increase our production capacity even more, allowing us to keep exporting worldwide the aperitif ritual…
“The expansion of the plant, which takes place 20 years after its opening, is a further confirmation of the positive growth trend of recent years.”
The addition of the new Aperol line increases the Novi Ligure plant’s overall capacity by 100 million bottles annually. Novi Ligure is already Campari Group’s largest production hub; in 2023, the plant produced 29 per cent of the product sold by Campari.
