Stonegate and Drinks Bureau support charity with RTD sales

Pub company Stonegate Group has announced plans to stock canned ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktails from Drinks Bureau in its pubs and clubs in celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride season.

The listing will support LGBTQ+ housing charity Stonewall Housing. The Drinks Bureau will donate 10p of every can sold between late May and the end of August in on- and off-trade to the charity.

The two cocktails listed are the Shirley Temple, a non-alcoholic cocktail with cherry, ginger, and bitters, and the Dirty Shirley, an alcoholic version that adds vodka to the mix.

Frankie Snobel, founder of The Drinks Bureau, said: “We are very excited to be a part of Pride this year with The Shirleys. Bringing cocktail joy nationwide and donating to an amazing cause.  My family has experienced homelessness first hand, so I know how lifechanging charity support can be and how easily people can unexpectedly be in need.”

Stonewall Housing CEO Steven McIntyre commented: “I am just delighted that the Drinks Bureau and Stonegate Group are partnering with us to help to raise awareness of LGBTQ+ homelessness and of course much needed funds for the charity. Every single day we see more and more LGBTQ+ people finding themselves homeless and it is not an exaggeration to say we simply couldn’t do our work without our incredible supporters.”

The Stonewall Housing charity provides advice, advocacy and support for LGBTQ+ people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Founded in 1983, it has helped more than 40,000 individuals since it began its work.

The Dirty Shirley (5% ABV) and Shirley Temple will be available in Stonegate pubs and clubs and from select wholesalers.
