Estal consolidates UK presence for its recycled bottles

Spanish glass packaging manufacturer Estal is expanding its reach in the UK market. The firm is adding new product warehouses to grow its Wild Glass collection in the market, as well as strengthening its UK commercial team.

The Wild Glass collection consists of 100 per cent post-consumer recycled (PCR) glass, targeting companies and consumers for whom sustainability is a priority. The “organic designs” in the collection include imperfections inescapable within PCR, which the company has embraced.

Ana del Corral, commercial director of Estal, commented: “We love imperfections; we consider them a unique feature of Wild Glass. Each bottle is an honest piece that communicates our commitment to the environment. These are bottles that reflect the values of brands that advocate for sustainability as a core value.”

Several UK brands have already adopted Estal’s bottles, including London’s Polarity Distillery, whisky maker Nc’nean, and Accolade Wines. Estal’s growth plans go beyond the UK; the company has a presence in the United States, Pacific Asia, and Latin America markets.

Speaking on the company’s current UK focus, del Corral added: “This country represents a very important part of our growth strategy, especially regarding glass and closures for distilleries. With the new warehouse, we are better equipped than ever to meet the demands of our traditional customers and arouse the interest of other local businesses. We want to continue consolidating the success of Wild Glass and the rest of our products, as well as our commitment to the environment and originality.”
