Pernod Ricard to sell international wine portfolio
Drinks company Pernod Ricard has announced that it has agreed to sell its international strategic wine brands to Australian Wine Holdco Limited (AWL). A consortium of investors, AWL is the owner of Accolade Wines.
The sale covers brands in Australia, New Zealand, and Spain owned and produced by Pernod Ricard Winemakers.
The full portfolio of brands sold is Jacob’s Creek, Orlando, St Hugo, Stoneleigh, Brancott Estate, Church Road, Campo Viejo, Ysios, Tarsus, and Azpilicueta. The deal also includes seven wineries.
Pernod Ricard says that the sale will allow it to focus on its portfolio of spirits and Champagne brands, and to strengthen its premiumisation strategy. The company’s portfolio of brands includes Absolut Vodka, Chivas Regal, and Champagne Perrier-Jouët.
Subject to customary conditions, Pernod Ricard expects the sale to be completed in 2025.
