Brockmans Gin to launch lighter weight bottle
Brockmans Gin has announced the redesign of its bottle to be lighter in weight. The new bottle will launch in September 2024, to be phased in across all the gin’s markets.
The redesigned bottle will be 500 grams and contain 51 per cent post-consumer recycled glass content — the previous iteration used 0.6 per cent post-consumer recycled glass.
Through the lighter-weight bottle, Brockmans aims to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and further align its product with its sustainability goals. In late 2023, Brockmans received a B Corp certification.
Jean-Dominique Andreu, managing director of Brockman Gin, said: “Our new bottle represents a significant step in our journey towards sustainability. We are proud to lead the industry with this innovative, lightweight packaging and we are committed to continuing our efforts to create a more sustainable future.”
The brand worked with glass manufacturer Verallia to develop its new bottle. Ahead of the launch, Brockmans is continuing to work with Verallia to “refine its new bottle’s specifications” to maximise sustainability without compromising on its “luxurious fell and aesthetic”.
