Spirits producer International Beverage, the spirits arm of ThaiBev, has appointed two senior leaders to strategic roles in its team.

John Stevenson has been appointed as distilleries general manager, in which role he will oversee operations at International Beverage’s five Scottish distilleries, which produce brands including Speyburn, Balblair, Old Pulteney, and Hankey Bannister. Stevenson joins the company from North British Distillery, where he was operations manager. His previous experience includes roles in the bio-fuel tech sector, and he led on the design and development of the Tullamore distillery in Ireland.

Also joining the company is Fiona Kennie, appointed as marketing director. Kennie’s career in the drinks industry has included roles with Jim Bean, Whyte & Mackay, Heineken, and Edrington. She joins from Innis & Gunn Brewing Company, where she was global marketing director. Kennie will lead strategic marketing for International Beverage and join its exectutive leadership team.

International Beverage managing director Malcolm Leask commented: “We are delighted to welcome both John and Fiona to the business. Their leadership skills and vast experience in their respective sectors makes them a tremendous asset to our team. I look forward to working with them over the coming months on a variety of initiatives that will grow our global business, sustainability credentials, and portfolio of premium spirit brands.”
