New managing director for UK, Ireland, and Nordic markets joins Rémy Cointreau

Rémy Cointreau has announced the appointment of Lee James as managing director for the UK, Ireland, and Nordic markets. In the role, James will oversee a portfolio of brands including Rémy Martin, Cointreau, Mount Gay, Bruichladdich, and the Botanist Gin.
 
James joins Rémy Cointreau from Pernod Ricard, where he held a variety of positions over his almost two decades with the company. James’ experience with Pernod Ricard includes senior sales and marketing roles, such as UK commercial director for wine and Champagne. For the past five years James has held the role of global commercial director for Pernod Ricard’s premium and gin portfolio.
 
Rémy Cointreau said that James’ experience in premium brands and Champagne is expected to be an asset to the group, a the company’s brands include Louis XIII Cognac and Champagne Telmont.

The news follows the recent appointment of David William Dang to Rémy Cointreau's global travel retail team.
