Highland Park refreshes brand design
Orkney distillery Highland Park has refreshed the branding of its core-range 12, 15, and 18 Years Old single malt whiskies. The distillery says the new look is inspired by its Orkney surroundings.
The 226-year-old distillery’s new branding is inspired by a range of aspects which define its whisky. The design nods to the climate of Orkney through a “bright and contemporary” colour palette. The updated logo is printed on “heather-flecked” labels, inspired by the whisky’s flavour, and a wood-grain pattern reflects Highland Park’s use of sherry-seasons oak casks.
To emphasise the whisky’s provenance, “Product of Orkney” will be embossed on the glass bottle. The bottle’s shape has also been updated, which the brand says will better showcase the natural colour of the whisky.
Highland Park’s master whisky maker, Gordon Motion, said: “Our 12-, 15-, and 18-year-old whiskies sit as the heart and soul of Highland Park. It’s Orkney’s heathered peat that gives us our subtly smoky flavour and it’s as unique as the place it’s made. We know that’s what our community really love about Highland Park.
“With the packaging update, we have a great opportunity to celebrate a new look, whilst continuing to share the distinctive, consistent whisky we’re famed for. It’s a flavour that just can’t be replicated anywhere else in the world.”
The new bottles will be packaged in 100 per cent recycled cardboard cartons.
The refreshed bottles roll out globally from October 2024. The travel-retail-exclusive 14, 16, and 18 Years Old expressions will also launch in the new packaging.
